I had a very tough childhood. That period of my life was filled with very difficult situations. I learned at a young age what the word "tough" really meant. And the only reason I did not end up a bum or a thief is that I loved learning, that education was free in France where I was born and that learning took my mind away from the harsh realities of my life. Accepting reality is not easy. From a young age, I had no choice. As for the persistence of this attitude, this may be a topic I did not address: all of what I discussed is about building a corporate culture. You need to find the "relays" of that culture inside the company. Not necessarily managers. But people who take the word "possible" at its very basic meaning: it can be done. Again, not easy but every time I "felt" something in the company, a buzz, something I could not put my finger on it but a flow of energy, I knew we were on the verge of changing out collective behavior. Collective is the word!
